Marcello Barbato is an environmental engineer and he is the founder of GREEN Renewable Energy Consulting Ltd.
His career in the renewable energy field began in Italy and Europe, where he cultivated his expertise. In 2013, he made a significant move to Asia, assuming the role of Regional Manager for several renowned companies, including Envitec Biogas, Sebigas UAC in Thailand, and IES Biogas (SNAM). In 2018 he established Green Renewable Energy consulting ltd. with the aim to support the fast development of biogas and CBG projects providing know-how to emerging markets.
In 2022, he embarked on a new chapter by starting his activities in India, further extending his dedication to the development and implementation of sustainable energy solutions. With almost two decades of experience in renewable energy, particularly in biogas and CBG, he has successfully managed the conception and execution of numerous projects in different countries. His current focus includes spearheading biogas and CBG projects spanning India, the Philippines, and Europe.
Currently he is also engaged in the development of BioCNG Indonesia Program which aims at implementing 10 waste-to-energy facilities for palm oil industry in Indonesia under a BOOT scheme .
